The printed paper is published every Friday and is often used by local businesses to advertise their vacancies. Adverts are also published on their website throughout the week.  
NHS Scotland Recruitment 
This site advertises all vacancies within NHS Scotland. It is a good starting point for anyone interested in a career in the health service. 
HI Jobs 
This site advertises jobs in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. 
My Job Scotland
This website will give you access to vacancies in Scotland’s public and third sectors. Shetland Island’s Council advertise all of their vacancies on this website. 
Indeed 
This site enables you to search for jobs that have been posted on thousands of websites, you should be able to find any job posted online no matter what website it was posted on. 
S1 Jobs
Find full time, part time and graduate positions offered from the largest companies in Scotland. 
CV Library
You will be able to find jobs in over 70 sectors and apply directly for the jobs being offered. You can also upload your CV for free so employers can find you.

​Want to find a job but need a bit of support and advice first? There are a wide range of training courses and support services in Shetland that can help you take a step closer to employment.

Fair Start Scotland
Fair Start Scotland is an employment service for Scotland, for people who want to find work but find it difficult based on their circumstances. This service is provided in Shetland by People Plus. 
Employability Pathway
Run as part of the Shetland Island Council’s Youth and Employability Team, the Employability Pathway is for anyone who has barrier to employment and wants support to gain the skills necessary to work. If you are aged 16-65 years and would like support to gain employment, contact Shona.johnson2@shetland.gov.uk or call 01595 744490.  
Project SEARCH
Project SEARCH is a one-year programme, supporting young people with additional needs to gain skills and experience aimed at helping them move into sustainable employment. Students undertake three 10 week work placements which allow them to gain 750 hours of valuable work experience in a real job role.
Moving On Employment Project
Moving On provides support to young people from 14-26 to help them develop life and employability skills. The project provides support and trains employers and staff where appropriate.
