A CV summarises your skills and experience, giving you the chance to show an employer what you are capable of. Employers will usually ask for a copy of your CV at some point in the recruitment process, so it is a good idea to keep it up to date. A good CV will help you to stand out from the crowd and get a job interview.

Getting Started

For many of us, shouting about our achievements doesn't always come naturally, so writing a CV can be tricky. Before you start typing it out, reflect on everything that you have achieved so far in your life. Think about the skills you've developed and the personal experiences you've gained through work experience, summer jobs, volunteering, school, college, and hobbies or team sports.
