This free online workshop is for large and small businesses and stakeholders within the sector.  The session will be delivered 23rd January 10am-1pm by Visible Inclusive Accessibility. 

The aims of the workshop are to support your development through discussion and sharing practical solutions to improve experiences for all.
In the workshop we will discuss different ways in which society can view disability and the barriers (seen and unseen) which can be encountered.
Through practical discussion, we hope to increase confidence and encourage a wider perspective when considering disability, barriers and adjustments.

• Equality Act 2010
• Disability Employment Gap and landscape in Scotland
• Reasonable Adjustments and Removing Barriers.

These workshops have been developed through lived experiences and we would like to encourage you to bring your own lived experience to this event.

DYW Scotland are delighted to announce their newest national campaign, taking place on Tuesday 30th January 2024. The first #PowerOfAnHour campaign will focus on mentoring and its potential to aid growth and development in as little as one hour. 

We invite mentoring organisations, mentors and mentees to take part in the campaign by sharing and promoting their experiences, sharing the value mentoring has for both mentors and mentees.  We want to celebrate the positive impact that mentoring has.  If you have a story to share, get involved and find out how at dyw.scot/powerofanhour

DYW Scotland are offering DYW Employer Training, the training session will take place on campaign day:
Mentoring Young People; Good Practice for Mentors 30th January 2024, 10am-12pm.  During the session you will explore key mentoring skills and tools, and have an opportunity to practice with guidance and support from an expert facilitator.  You will also receive a detailed guide packed full of practical hints and tips as well as resources for further learning. 

This workshop is designed for individuals responsible for supporting young people on work placements as well as individuals responsible for managing apprentices or young employees within their organisation.
